Peace Poster/Peace Essay Contest

Lions International Peace Poster Contest Theme: Peace Without Limits

 Newmarket Lions President and District A16 Youth Opportunities Co-Chair, Sylvia Brock present District A16 and MDA Peace Poster winner Chloe S of Hartman PS in Aurora with a plaque and a monetary award! Her poster came in 1st place for all of Ontario! Her poster is off to Chicago to compete in the Lions International contest! She will be competing against students from all over the world!

Lions International 2022-2023 Peace Essay Contest Winner!

Grade 6, Stonehaven public school student, Keaton Hamilton won this year’s Lions International Peace Essay Contest! Keaton essay was chosen  from entries from around the world! The annual Peace Essay Contest was created to give visually impaired students an opportunity to express their feelings of peace. Keaton presented his speech on Lions International Day at the United Nations !

Membership in the Newmarket Lions Club is open to women and men 19 years of age and over.  If you are interested in joining us for the benefit of our community, drop in to a meeting or click here to contact us. 

Our Meetings Are:

When

The Newmarket Lions Club meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, except July and August.  The meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Community Centre and Lions Hall, 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket.
